Deadline is reporting that FX Networks has ordered Fargo: The Best of 2019, the first installment of a five-part miniseries series.
The film is set for release in the spring of 2020.FX Networks President John Landgraf told Deadline that the series is a collaboration between FX and the FX Producers Guild of America, the largest membership organization of film producers.
The miniserie focuses on Fargo, an FX series that debuted on FX in 2013.
The first installment, which will air on FX starting in 2020, will feature the voices of James McAvoy, Carrie Coon, Robert Pattinson, David Harbour, and Paul Reubens.
The series also will include appearances by J.K. Simmons, David Ayer, and John Cho.
Fargo is produced by Michael Green (The Great Gatsby, A Most Wanted Man) and Robert Meyer Burnett (The Big Short, The Social Network).
It is also co-produced by Lionsgate, Sony Pictures Classics, and 20th Century Fox TV.
Deadline also reports that the first miniserys, Fargo: New York, is also in development.
