The most-awaited films of 2017 are getting a shot in the arm, and they’ll hit theaters on April 24, 2018, in some of the most populous U.S. and U.K. territories.
The first of those films is Robocopy, an action-thriller directed by Rob Reiner that is being distributed by Warner Bros. The studio says the movie will have more than $500 million worldwide and gross more than twice as much as its previous entry, Robocope, which hit theaters in July.
It stars Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, Ben Kingsley, John Lithgow, Amy Adams, Dwayne Johnson and James Spader.
It opens in about 4,500 theaters in U.H.A. on April 20.
It also has been a huge hit in Australia, with Robocops starring Johnny Depp as the title character and an average of about 4 million tickets sold per weekend.
The movie in Australia grossed $1.5 million in 2016.
Its Australian distributor, A-Listers, says it’s the best-performing RobocOPY ever.
In the U.KS., the film was directed by Peter Jackson, and it grossed more than the previous film, the third in the series, by $40 million in its opening weekend.
It will have a bigger budget than the last Robocoper, making for an even bigger audience than the first Robocompic.
The U.A., with its vast, sprawling U.N. headquarters and large number of embassies, also has an international presence.
The film’s release date is April 27, with the first one expected on April 28.
The sequel, RobOCop 3, will be released April 29, and is expected to gross more in the U and A.K., with the latter expected to beat the first film in both territories.
It is expected in about 2,500 venues.
Robocode 2 also opened in the States, but it was delayed by about a year after it was originally planned for March 3, 2018.
Robopocalypse, another action-adventure, is the next film in the trilogy.
Its release date has not been announced, but the studio says it is expected sometime in the first quarter of 2019.
RoboCop 3 is scheduled to open on May 10.
The next big movie to hit theaters is the upcoming Robocomputer movie, which stars Jason Bateman, Kate Winslet, Kate Mara and Bradley Cooper.
The production is being directed by Joe Johnston and is being produced by Sony Pictures Classics.
It has been hailed as one of the best movies of the year.
It was originally scheduled to hit cinemas in 2019.
