Hollywood’s most popular movie franchises have returned with their own superhero movies and comic book adaptations.
The DC Comics films have a strong presence in Hollywood, as they’ve been featured in every single film to date.
DC Comics, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Warner Bros. are all represented in the film world, but DC has been one of the most consistent studios.
It has always been the company that has pushed its movies to the edge of genre, and now DC has made the most of its own success in Hollywood with a superhero movie series.
“Fearless” opens with an appearance by the villain Thanos, who is revealed to be the creator of the new supervillain team.
The film then picks up as a series of missions are set up to protect humanity from the new threat, which includes battling an army of space pirates and an alien invasion force led by Thanos.
As the events unfold, we’re introduced to some new characters, including the newly-created Flash (Grant Gustin), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and a mysterious new member of the team: the Atom (Ezra Miller).
The films also introduce a whole new universe, introducing characters and villains that we haven’t seen in the DC Comics universe.
While we can’t speak to all of the DC films, this trailer for “Fearless,” released by DC Comics on Monday, does highlight some new faces in the MCU.
“Feary” opens in theaters on November 10.
